Kathleen Tellez, 88, died Monday, July 31, 2023, surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born January 8, 1935, in Chicago, IL to her loving parents Charles & Margaret McDonald.

She moved with her parents and younger sister, Dorothy, toTucson in 1951 and graduated from Tucson High.  She married her husband, Thomas Flores Tellez, on December 30, 1961, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and they remained together for 42 years, until his death in 2005.  They had four children.

Kathleen is survived by three of her children: Kathleen (Tony) Izzo, Patricia (Jesse) Esquivel and Daniel Tellez; six grandchildren: Nicholas, Michaela, Michael, Madeline, Miranda, and Jacob; three great grandchildren: Addison, Jackson, and Indikai; and sister, Dorothy.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Flores Tellez, and her son Michael Thomas Tellez.

Kathleen loved animals, particularly dogs and spent much of her life traveling and showing Dalmatians, Golden Retrievers, and Chinese Cresteds. She was an active member of her church andvolunteered often. She will be remembered for her fun idioms and rhymes, along with her sweet demeanor and selfless attitude.
