Julieta L. Frias, 83, received her wings and soared to heaven quietly and peacefully on September 12, 2026. She is preceded by her husband Albert Frias. Her parents Juan and Julia Lopez, brothers Carlos and John. Survived by her loving children, Maritza (Ambrosio) Hernandez, Isela (Fabian) Celaya, Jaime Frias (Rosemarie), and Eddie Frias. Is also survived by her beloved sisters, Annie Mo, Maria Elena, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Cassandra (Javier) Avila, Julieta (Mario) Dorame, Angel, Angelica (Jacob), Danitza, and great-grandchild Maximiliano “Maxi” Dorame.

She was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. She attended and graduated from Tucson High School in 1961. She then started the work field and had many little jobs to help her family. She volunteered her time a lot with the church and was a part of many clubs such as the FCL’s. There she met and made lots of friends which eventually became family. She was a very caring and hardworking woman. If you needed any kind of help, she was always there. She met her husband of 52 years of marriage, started a family and had 4 loving children. There were many memorable family vacations which will never be forgotten. After caring for her children, she went back into the work field and worked for the Diocese of Tucson for 10 plus years. She then worked for the University of Arizona where she eventually retired. After retirement, she had the pleasure of enjoying her grandchildren. Volunteering at their schools, doing pickups and drop offs, attending all their award ceremonies. After years of enjoying her grandchildren, along came the “Great” grandchild, “Maxi”. Her reason for living was to see and enjoy some time with him. She loved him dearly and that is what kept her going. Julieta was a good wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, God-mother, sister, aunt and overall great friend. She also took the role of “Mom” & “Nana” to so many nieces, nephews and family friends. She was the fun mom everybody wanted to be around, she was caring, giving, and a compassionate person and was loved by so many. If you needed her in the time of need, she was there and stayed by your side no questions asked. She made everyone feel welcomed and never turned anyone away, she was always there to help no matter what the circumstance was. She gave herself whole heartedly and didn’t complain about herself. There is so much more we could say about her. We thank our family and friends and are forever grateful for the love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. A special thanks to all the staff at Peppi’s House who received our mom at her time of need, no questions asked.
