Judith P. Pimber, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, was called home on May 8 th , 2025, at the age of 79. Born on February 5 th , 1946, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, "Thelma" as many close family and friends called her, moved to Tucson, Arizona at the age of 29 with her family to begin a new chapter in her life. She worked in the hospitality industry, where she retired after many years, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity and a servant heart.
During her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her favorite hobby - yard sales. She cherished her role as a grandmother; it brought her immense joy. Her presence was contagious, she had a fiery spirit, and a heart full of love.
Judith is preceded in death by her mother, Sofia P. Olivas, sisters, Antoñieta "Tata" Mitchell, Suilma Y. Olivarria. She is survived by her daughters, Lizette Pimber (Nash Atondo), Sofia Garcia (Albert), grandchildren, Giovannah S. Verdugo (Armando), Karyza Jones (Storm), great-grandchildren, Kailani M. Verdugo, sister, Maria Antoñieta Pimber, brother, Jose Luis Pimber, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Judith will be remembered for her strength, resilience and her iconic peace sign. Her unwavering dedication to her family and the values of love she instilled in them will never be forgotten. We will miss her dearly, her spirit will remain with us, forever in our hearts.
