Jose Luis
Ojeda
September 18, 1955 – March 22, 2016
Jose Luis Ojeda passed away on March 22, 2016 after a long battle with lung cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by friends and family before he drifted off to be with the Lord Jesus and his parents. His will to fight cancer and survive was inspirational. Joe was a great example of courage, strength, hope and love. He reminded us all of the preciousness of life.
Joe was born on September 18, 1955 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Alejandro Rodriguez Ojeda and Maria Amparo Barajas Ojeda. He was one of six very close and loving siblings which include two sisters, Bertha Ojeda, and Maria Ojeda Roddey and three brothers, Alex, Robert and Danny Ojeda.
Joe's interest included restoring muscle cars, listening to country music, working in his garden, watching NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a unique talent as an auto and diesel mechanic which brought people and companies from Texas to California to seek his counsel.
Joe is survived by his wife, Kellene; four children, Alex and Bernadette Ojeda, Jennifer Davey, and Wendy Borgersen, three step children, Kim, Kris and Kyle Vanderstaay, and fourteen grandchildren.
