Jose Luis Medina Montes, age 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31st, 2026, in Tucson, AZ.

Born in Agua Prieta, Sonora, MX to Miguel A. Medina and Evelia R. Montes, he lived a life defined by love, service, and an unwavering devotion to his family. A man of diverse talents, he explored many paths throughout his career – working as a teacher, a banker, a General Manager, and within a sign shop. However, his true lifelong passion was serving as a bridge in communication. As an exceptional Spanish interpreter, he mastered the art of connection.

He was a natural leader who thrived in social settings, captivated rooms as a charismatic MC, and moved through the world with an inspiring, magnetic confidence. Above all, his heart belonged to his family. He dedicated his life to caring deeply for his parents, his children, and his grandchildren, ensuring they always felt supported and loved. He was a generous soul who frequently shared his wisdom, leaving anyone willing to listen with unforgettable life lessons. His family remains profoundly grateful for the guidance he provided and aspires to carry forward a percentage of the amazing human being he was.

He is survived by Gilda Beltran, Nancy Medina Beltran, Jose L. Medina Jr., and Felipe Medina.
