He was a loving and devoted husband of 52 years, to Maria. He was a loving father to Lupita, grandfather to Jose Carlos and father-in-law to Carlos Medina. He was extremely proud of his service to the United States Army and Navy.  He always put his family first and would do anything for anyone who asked.

We are going to miss his stories about his time working for Tucson Unified School District and his adventures in the military with all his compadres (which seemed to all have the same name each time he started a story).

He loved driving through downtown Tucson, especially showing us where he was born and grew up on Meyer and Simpson.  His favorite TV shows were always old John Wayne westerns and he loved his Walker, Texas Ranger show.  They were always on as he drank his black coffee all day long!

We are going to miss him calling out to his wife, Maria calling her E-A, short for Maria.  His greeting to his grandson "Hola, mijo" and cringing every time he said Carlos, when he had something to talk to his son-in-law about, because we never knew what he was going to say.  He always asked his daughter for her "Viejo" and knowing that Carlos was going to take care of everyone.

There are many good memories of our husband, papi, Tata and suegro to share.  We will always share stories of him and keep his memory alive, because he was here for a reason and that reason was to keep his family safe and happy.

We will forever love and miss you, until we meet again.
