Caballero, Jr.
April 23, 1969 – October 27, 2025
With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jose Luis Caballero, Jr, 56, of Tucson, Arizona, who entered eternal rest on October 27, 2025. Born on April 23, 1969, Jose lived a life defined by unwavering faith, devotion to family, and a heart full of strength, generosity, and joy.
For 32 beautiful years, Jose shared a faithful and joyful marriage with his wife, best friend, hunting partner, and the love of his life, Christina Caballero. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, shared adventures, and an unbreakable bond.
Jose is survived by his brother Michael Caballero; sister Marie (Dennis) Barreras; nieces Ana, Adrianna (Adriel), Alysandra and Aziana; nephews Michael Jr. and Aidan; and great-nephew Javier. He also leaves behind beloved brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, many cherished nieces and nephews, and countless godchildren who each held a special place in his heart. Jose will be lovingly remembered by his uncles Bobby (Terry) Romero, Carlos (Genevieve) Romero, Raymond (Jill) Romero; aunt Susan Pacheco; and numerous cousins.
He was welcomed into eternal peace by his parents Estella Mendoza and Jose Luis Caballero, Sr.; his sister Guadalupe Angelina Caballero; and his grandparents Angelina and Esteban Romero and Rafael Caballero.
For 38 years, Jose was a dedicated and respected member of the Northern Pipeline family. His hard work, loyalty, and leadership earned him the admiration of colleagues who became lifelong friends. He took immense pride in his work and always led with integrity and heart.
A devoted outdoorsman, Jose found peace and purpose in nature. Hunting wasn't just a pastime, it was a passion, a tradition, and a way he connected deeply with those he loved. His hunting crew will forever miss his reminder calls to apply for tags, the excitement of hearing who drew, and the planning that made every season special.
Jose will be remembered for his generosity, strength, humor, and the love he poured into every relationship and every moment. His legacy is carried forward in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the memories that will continue to bring comfort and laughter to all who knew him.
His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed beyond measure.
