IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joe F.
Maya
May 31, 1938 – September 9, 2023
Joe Maya was received with open arms by the lord and his son, Joe Jr., on September 9, 2023; Joe is survived by his amazing wife of 67 years, Lidia; son, Rudy (Susie); son, Randy (Pat); daughter, Isabel; daughter, Lori (Richard); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters and preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Teressa Maya, and his brothers.
Joe was a kind and thoughtful soul who loved his family deeply. He was a perfect example of a devoted father and an honorable man. He was passionate about fishing, hiking the Grand Canyon, camping, and going to Kennedy Lake. He was a jokester who everyone loved to be around. He was known as Super Tata and cherished every moment with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe was a U of A and Dallas Cowboys fanatic. Many loved him, and his memory will live in our hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to join a memorial service celebrating his life on September 16, 2023, at Carrillo Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
From our Tata's words, U of A all the way, CATCH YOU ON THE REBOUND.
