MONTANO, JESUS V.

Passed away peacefully on May 21, 2022, at the age of 91.  Jesus was born October 27, 1930 in Tucson, Arizona.  Preceded in death by parents Manuel A. Montano and Maria Luisa Fimbres Montano; brother Augustine (Dolores) Montano; sisters Angelita (Ramon) Valencia, Maria Montano, and Maria Luisa (Fred) Daily; and partner of 60 years, Howard Greenseth.  Survived by brothers Manuel (Jessie) Montano, Armando Montano; and many nieces and nephews.

Jesus graduated from Tucson High School in 1950, then served in the US Army from June 1951 to May 1953.  After returning from the Army, Jesus was a decorator at Steinfield's and The College Shops until the early 1980's.  His most rewarding work was being a Sacristan for the Diocese of Tucson at St. Augustine Cathedral from where he retired after 17 years.

He wanted to give special thanks to Gerald Montano who was there for him every day during his illness, and to the staff and nurses of Agape Hospice.
