IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jesus O.
Felix
March 25, 1928 – December 10, 2023
Jesus Felix peacefully joined our Lord on December 10, 2023, surrounded by family in the comfort of his home.
He was born on March 25, 1928 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico to his beloved parents Jose Felix and Refugio Olguín. Being raised as one of five children, there was always a loving and lively atmosphere. As he reached his late teenage years, Jesus moved to Mexicali to start working but would come back to visit Cananea often. It was on a trip home for New Years that he met his future wife, Belia Cázares. They would begin their 74 year marriage living in Mexicali where they began their family of five children. In 1959 they settled in Tucson, AZ.
"Tata Gordo", "El Presidente", "Chury," and "Don Jesus" were just a few of his nicknames. You could always count on him to be cheerful, fun-loving, making jokes, and asking for his "dinero" or "regalo" that were owed to him. He was the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with others sitting around the kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee, eating pan dulce, and a baseball game on the television.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and his true pride and joy was his family. The Felix family was blessed to have their Tata Gordo for 95 years spreading joy. We find peace in knowing he has reunited with his beloved spouse, Belia Felix. The family they built from marriage of 74 years leaves a lasting legacy of devotion and love.
Jesus is survived by his four children Jesus (Deborah), Jose (Marisela), Ricardo (Luis), and Belia (Sanjay). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, his brother Eduardo Felix and many nieces and nephews.
The Felix family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional and loving care provided by his dedicated team of caregivers, with a special appreciation for Yvette Vega and Anna Nandino.
