IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jesus Reyes
Diaz, Jr.
March 22, 1993 – March 8, 2025
Jesus Reyes Diaz Jr., age 31, left this physical world on March 8, 2025. He undoubtedly left us too soon, but as we celebrate his life and his upcoming birthday on March 22nd, we are reminded of a man who loved deeply and who desired peace. Jesus will always be remembered as a soul who was filled with joy, laughter and light. He was most content when surrounded by his family, especially his children.
Jesus loved the beach. He loved music, especially playing his guitar and singing. In nearly every encounter, you could count on Jesus to play songs, sing, dance and laugh. Jesus was nothing short of selfless - as one of many examples, after his son's birthday, he fed those impacted by homelessness with the food from the party.
Above all, Jesus was a family man and is survived by his children, Noah James Diaz, Alec Astro Diaz and AudiAna Alicia Basurto-Llanes, who were the center of his world. He is survived by his fiancé, soulmate and love of his life, Lluvia Llanes, who he planned to wed January 2026.
Jesus' tender and kind soul is survived by his mother, Rachel Vasavilbaso who he loved deeply and cherished as his rock. He is also survived by his father, Marcos Vasavilbaso who loved, raised and taught him how to be the father and man he grew to be. He is also survived by his father, Jesus Reyes Diaz, Sr. who is bonded to his son by a deep love.
Jesus is survived by his siblings, Elora, Jackie, Ari and Ryan with whom he shares an unbreakable bond of love, laughter and friendship; his nephews, Diamante, Teddy and Lou and nieces, Emelene, Maddison, and Tigris for whom he dedicated every moment to playfulness, important life lessons and pure love.
Jesus is also survived by his aunt, Rebecca Coy who shared the role of second mother and his brothers-in-law, Jesse and Ralph with whom he shared a bond of brotherhood and friendship.
A service to celebrate Jesus' life will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11am at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary. All who knew and loved Jesus are welcome.
