It is with tremendous sadness to announce the passing of Irene Figueroa Jaimez, 85, a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and dear friend to many more. Irene passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023.

Irene was born in Los Angeles moved to Tucson early in life, raised and lived her whole life in Tucson. Irene was one of six siblings. She would always talk about her greatest times growing up on Calle Myer Street with her friends and family. Always surrounded by music and the sounds of piano and guitar by her father and other siblings who would play and sing along. She met the love of her life, Joe when she was 19 through mutual friends at a drive-in music performance. She along with all her family sadly mourned his passing in May of 2017.
She is survived by sisters, Pat Andrade, Margarita Cravillion (Ken Cravillion); son, Jose (Joey) R. Jaimez Jr. (Frances Jaimez); daughter, JoAnn J. Hernandez (Raimundo Hernandez); granddaughter, Melissa Jaimez; grandson, Sterling Jason Davenport (Veronica Davenport); and two great grandchildren, Sterling Marcus Davenport and Valentina Irene Davenport.
Irene was an extraordinary and beautiful woman. She was a naturally gifted piano player and singer. Natural born entertainer who loved to laugh, sing, dance, and enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She was the life of every party and any room she walked into was instantly energized by her presence. Everyone was welcome at her home and to sit at her kitchen table. She was wise, loving and devoted to her family. She would listen to anyone's problem and would always offer caring and truthful advice to those in their time of need.
Mom, losing you is the greatest sorrow for us all. Our hearts can hardly bare not having you around. You cared for us our entire lives. You watched over us, supported us in every way and made sure we had the will and determination to keep moving forward no matter how difficult life had become or what stood in our way. You were determined to never take no for an answer and to always find a way to get to where we needed to go. You watched over your grandchildren since they were born and taught them so many things they would have never learned without your wisdom and love. We pray that you are at peace and are with our dad once again. We love you and will miss you always.
We thank all of our friends during this difficult time we thank you and we know you loved our mom for everything that she was to all of us.
