HENRY ALMADA SANTA CRUZ
Went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2018. He was 92 years young. Born to Ramon and Julia (Almada) Santa Cruz on July 15, 1926 the second of 10 children in Tucson, AZ.
Survived by his wife Santanya, Daughter Rebecca, sons Scott and Monte Santa Cruz. Also survived by his first wife Mary Y. Santa Cruz, sons Henry D, Steve and Paul Santa Cruz and daughter Julie (Larriva) Santa Cruz. Brothers Ramon and Robert Santa Cruz and sisters Elma Buitrago, Gloria Guzman, Jessie Salgado. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He served his country in WWII aboard the USS Barrataria U.S. NAVY as a gunners mate during the battle of Leyte Philippines, Singapore and China. He was a also a Deputy Arizona Ranger. He loved his family and he was a favorite to many many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Retired from Consolidated Freightways after 44 years as a long haul driver, moving back to Tucson enjoying his family and friends until his passing.
