Obituary

Gregory E. Cervantez, 46, of Tucson, AZ entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Tucson, AZ. Greg was born in Tucson, AZ on December 9, 1977, to Eloy Cervantez and Carol Lukosky. Greg was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, and spent his adolescent years growing up in Morenci, AZ.

On March 28, 2000, Greg was blessed with his first child, Bryanah Cervantez. A year later, on June 7, 2001, Greg was blessed again with his son, Zavier Cervantez. Greg loved spending time with his children and made every moment count, whether going to Disneyland, going fishing, or just taking a ride to get ice cream. His passion was fishing, so any chance offered to him to go, he would be there fishing pole in one hand and tackle box in the other.

Greg always had the passion to help others and decided to pursue a career in the Healthcare Industry. Greg then attended and graduated from Pima Medical Institute with a certification to be a Pharmacy Technician. Greg spent about 20 years working as a Pharmacy Technician in retail and hospital pharmacies.

Greg will truly be missed for the kind of person he was. Greg was a great friend, loving father, and beloved family member to many. He was known to be a great conversationalist, an animated storyteller, and loved telling dad jokes to everyone, not just his children. Greg was very supportive and was a big-time believer in doing whatever makes you happy.

Greg loved watching sports. He was a loyal fan of the Indianapolis Colts (GO COLTS!!) and the Arizona Wildcats (BEARDOWN!!). Greg enjoyed watching old-time classics of Star Wars, He-Man and Transformers.

A day well spent for Greg will be where the ocean tide meets his feet, in the sand of Oceanside Beach in San Diego, California.

Greg leaves behind: his parents, Eloy Cervantez and Carol (Jim) Lukosky; his brother, Bobby Cervantez, and his two sisters, Pauline Cervantez and Vanessa (Mario) Matanza; his two children, Bryanah and Zavier Cervantez; multiple nieces and nephews; and many family members & friends whom he cherished.

Greg has preceded in death by: his third child, Alyssa Lanae Cervantez   ;Grandma, Carolina Gerardo; and his beloved companion, Roxy.
