Gilberto Canizales Carranza, Tucson AZ , passed away on March, 16, 2023.

Gilberto was born on April 15, 1946 to Eugenio and Guadalupe Carranza in Bacanuchi Sonora, Mexico.

Gilberto married Altagracia Monreal and went on to have 5 children, Altagracia Gasque, Gilberto M. Carranza Jr, Gabriel M. Carranza, Almita Carranza, and Gaston M. Carranza as well as his son and daughters-in-law Daniel, Susie, Rebecca, and Diana. To include his 26 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gilberto was one of eight siblings and is predeceased by Alfonso Carranza, Francisco Carranza, Antonia Pesqueira, and Elena Chaparro. He is survived by Eugenio Carranza, Carmela Lopez, Guadalupe Carranza, and Romelia Carranza.

After working as a Union Laborer for many years with multiple Contractors, he ended his career with Arizona Pipeline Co. as a pipelayer.

Gilberto retired and spent his time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved the ranch life and would spend his days caring after horses and cattle located at his son Gaston's property.

Gilberto had many friends to which his humorous and endless conversation will be missed.
