Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Dominguez at the age of 72. Randy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Randy peacefully left this world on April 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was born to the late George Bustamante and Esperanza "Hope" Dominguez. Randy leaves behind his brothers Ron and Anthony Dominguez. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Evangelina Madero Dominguez, and a loving father to his children Natalie A. Ochoa, Katrina Dominguez (Jesus "Chuy" Garcia), Herminia C. Robichaud (Jeremy), and Bernardo "Bernie" A. Dominguez (Rhianna). Randy's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Randy dedicated himself to serving his country. He retired from the Arizona Air National Guard after 36 years of honorable service. Randy served in numerous post-9/11 deployments, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of his fellow Airmen. Many of his colleagues became like family to him which is a testament to the strong bonds he formed throughout his career.

In addition to his military service, Randy had a passion for coaching various levels team sports (Golf, Football, Soccer, Wrestling and Softball). He shared his love for the game with countless individuals, leaving a lasting impression on their lives. Randy took great pride in his coaching contributions at Desert View High School with his dear friend and companion, Bert Otero. One of Randy's greatest coaching accomplishments was coaching the 2000 Desert View Girls Softball team to their first and only Arizona 4A State Championship. The memories and lessons Coach Randy instilled in his players will forever be cherished.

Randy's legacy extends far beyond his military and coaching accomplishments. He was a man of character, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His warm smile and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to Randy, let us remember the joy and love he brought into our lives. May his spirit guide us through the difficult times ahead, and may his memory be a source of strength and inspiration. Randy will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
