IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Fred C.
Machado
August 25, 1942 – December 27, 2024
Fred Machado, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on August 25, 1942, in Tucson, Arizona.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Margie G. Machado; his sons Fred A. Machado, Eustacio (Yolanda) Machado, and Manuel (Cynithia) Machado; his daughters Elizabeth (Louis) Vidal and Elvira G.
Machado; as well as his sister Sandra Machado. He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A man of unwavering dedication and integrity, Fred worked tirelessly for Southern/Union Pacific for an impressive 35 years. He believed deeply in the value of hard work and often reminded those around him that perseverance leads to success. His commitment to education was another cornerstone of his life philosophy-he encouraged his family to strive for excellence in their pursuits.
Fred's greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. Whether it was offering guidance or simply being present for their milestones, he always made time for them and ensured they felt supported and loved. His selflessness extended to all who knew him; he never hesitated to lend a helping hand when it mattered most.
Fred will be remembered as a pillar of strength who never let obstacles deter him when working toward the greater good. His memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
May his enduring legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
