Frank M. Valenzuela
Francisco Martinez Valenzuela, lovingly known to all as "Frank," passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. On that day, he was called home by our heavenly Father.
Born in Lordsburg, New Mexico in October 1946 to Epifanio C. and Josefine M. Valenzuela, Frank was a proud member of a multigenerational Tucsonan family. He came from a line of railroaders and was a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
Frank was a proud graduate of Pueblo High School. He dedicated over 40 years with Union Pacific Railroad and had a distinguished career as a switchman operator and conductor.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Fisher. He is also survived by his 3 siblings, Epifanio, Rosemary, and Sylvia Gonzalez-Valenzuela and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his brother Hector Valenzuela and his parents. His two greatest accomplishments were his two children, Mary Josephine Bustamante (Gilberto) and Francisco Javier Valenzuela. He is also the proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren (Gilberto, Mateo, and Gabriella) and 3 great grandchildren (Alejandrina, Maximillian, and Leandro).
Frank was a devoted Catholic and regularly seen at daily mass. Frank leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and stewardship . He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The Valenzuela family invites all who loved Frank to honor him by embracing the things he cherished most: faith, family, and a life well-lived.
