IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank H.
Moreno
May 22, 1933 – August 12, 2025
Frank Hernandez Moreno
Beloved husband, dad, Tata, great-Tata, and great-great-Tata, Frank Hernandez Moreno passed away on August 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born in Queen Creek, Arizona, on May 22, 1933. At 19, he proudly joined the United States Army. After his service, he returned to Tucson, where he met Sylvia—the love of his life. They married and spent the next 68 years together, building a strong, loving, and spiritual family foundation. They made sure their children received all their sacraments, instilling a lasting sense of faith and values. Family was always the center of Frank's life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Frank retired from the City of Tucson's Parks & Recreation Department. Over the years, he worked at many parks across Tucson, but his "baby" was Randolph Park—now known as Reid Park. Sylvia would pack lunches, gather the kids, and join him there for family picnics, creating treasured memories.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sylvia; children Myra Pucilowski, Isabel Wright (Mark), Frank Jr. "Cisco," and Clara "Carlie" Heslinga; grandchildren Christopher & Carlos Moreno, Celeste Caballero (Ben), Frankie Moreno (Rebecca), Desiree Tostado (Rick), and Stephen Redondo; great-grandchildren Alyssa (Jose), Chris Jr. (Axa), Airas & Ryan Moreno, Anthony, Ailani, Sophia Moreno, Aiyanna & Emily Caballero, Amaya, Kobe, Alessandra Moreno, Nikkolina, Aleksei & Ezekiel Tostado, and Zoe Redondo; and great-great-grandchildren Elodie & Rubi Moreno and Mia Rodriguez.
He loved cheering for the Atlanta Braves and watching games on TV. On Sunday nights, he would sit beside Sylvia to watch The Equalizer—not because it was his favorite show, but because he treasured simply being by her side. It was in these simple routines that the essence of their love truly shone, reflecting a bond that only deepened with time.
His warmth and laughter will forever echo in our hearts, reminding us of the countless memories we shared. As we navigate life without him, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will always be with us, guiding and watching over our family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Casa de la Luz Hospice for their guidance and compassion during this difficult time, especially Jen. A special thank you also goes to Estella, who lovingly cared for Frank and became a part of our family.
We love you and will miss you dearly, Dad—until we meet again.
