Our Father Francisco Jose Cervantez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father Francisco Jose Cervantez, on September 5th, 2025, at the age of 89.

On January 29, 1936, our father was born in Fierro, New Mexico to his beloved parents, Antonio Cervantez and Concepcion Marquez. He married Teresa Jaurequi on June 29th, 1958, in Silver City New Mexico with whom he had six children.

Dad proudly served in the United States Air Force, joining the service in the summer of August 1954 until his honorable discharged in May of 1958. Dad was a welder by trade and worked at various mines locations throughout the Southwest. He retired in 1995.

Francisco is survived by his six children. Michael, Patricia, Barbara, Peter, Edward, and Mary, as well as his siblings, Lydia, Antonio and Juan. Francisco was also grandfather to 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. He will be missed by all who know him.

A Mass for Francisco will be held at Holy Trinity Church on September 24th, 2025, at 10:30 AM, after a 10:00AM Rosary. The Church is located at 1300 N Greasewood Rd, Tucson, Arizona. Burial services will be held on December 30th, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana, Arizona.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Through the mercy of God, rest in peace Dad.
