Frances D. Barrios, age 95, was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. In the early hours of Friday, October 21, 2022, she peacefully passed, joining our Heavenly Father, surrounded by family and friends.

Throughout her long, and beautiful life, she remained a devoted member of her faith, exhibiting great humility, patience, gentleness, and kindness to all. Her tenderness and patience, manifested in her "green thumb". Her garden blooming with expansive life and breath-taking colors. Frances worked at Devon Gables as a nursing assistant for over 20 years. She deeply cherished the relationships she built with the residents, taking great pride in the care she was able to provide them. The Lord recognized her tenderness and empathetic service, as she received strongly beneficent, and comforting care from the staff at The Center at Tucson in her final journey.

Frances was a beautiful, strong, and courageous fighter. She always worked hard and persevered in every challenge and obstacle she faced. Frances was selfless, always giving to others, and sharing whatever she had with others. An amazing cook, whenever you came to visit her, she would have a home-cooked meal ready for you, no matter the time of day. Part of her wonderful legacy will be the traditional, and delicious, family recipes she taught her family.

She always had a captivating smile on her face, expressing her sincere love and gratitude for her family and friends. Frances always put her family first, wishing them a "Merry Christmas", a "Happy Mother's Day", and singing "Happy Birthday" to her grandchildren prior to her passing. She loved the lord with all her heart, blessing her family with her strong faith and holy disposition.

Frances is survived by her husband of 69 years, Frank M. Barrios, three children, Frank Barrios, Sandy Smith, and Esther Lubben, sons-in-laws, Dewain Smith and David Lubben, daughter-in-law, Debbie Barrios, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A mother like you is rare, one that is generous, blessed, and kind. A mother full of smiles and laughter, nothing can replace you, but when you get to Heaven, God will be lucky to have you too. We love you very much mom.

Her rosary will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 9:00 am at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, 4725 E Pima St., Tucson, AZ 85712. A Funeral Mass will be held Immediately after the Rosary at 10:00 am. Internment services will be held immediately after mass at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85705.
