IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Evelyn V.
Garcia
May 25, 1936 – November 22, 2024
Evelyn V. Garcia of Tucson Arizona was born on May 25th,1936 and went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2024, while at home surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was a loving devoted wife to her husband of 67 years Ernesto (Ernie) Garcia Jr., who she joined in heaven. Evelyn is survived by her 4 children, Oldest Sheron(4 children, with 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 more great grandchild on the way), Pamela (3 children, with 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way), Her only son David married to Oleta (5 children, with 16 grandchildren and another due next week and 1 great grandchild) and the youngest Ernestina married to Patrick Rodriguez (2 children and one granddaughter). She is survived by her sister Odilia (Dilly)Ramos and her nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a fighter and a breast cancer survivor. Evelyn was known as Nana Cookie by her grandchildren because of the endless supply of cookies in the cookie jar and also as Nana Coco. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, not only to her grandchildren but to many more that called her Nana.
Evelyn a proud wife of United States Air Force Retired Senior Master Sergeant Ernesto Garcia Jr., they spent many years traveling the world being stationed in places like Guam, Spain, and Japan just to name a few while starting a family and being blessed with their 4 children. They eventually settled in her hometown of Tucson Arizona and raised their family. Evelyn's devotion to her grandchildren was none like no other, her grandchildren were blessed to never have never been cared for by anyone other than herself. She would load up her Rv with her grandchildren ranging from high schoolers to the younger elementary kids every morning to drop them off and return in the afternoon pick them all up again.
Even when her grandchildren were at school, she would devote her time volunteering at Pio Decimo Children Center by helping in the classroom or making donations. She had an endless love to give like no other. Everyone was always welcome in their home, and Evelyn was always prepared to make food with whatever she had in the house. She enjoyed baking, and there were always fresh desserts made daily, she enjoyed it so much that she taught her children and grandchildren how to bake as well. Our family will always remember her selfless love and nurture as a mother and grandmother to all. In the end, she still just wanted reassurance that all her children and grandchildren were all going to be ok without her here. We now have a beautiful loving angel looking down on us. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
It was never Goodbye when it came to Evelyn it was always a simple "See you later, I love you." Until we meet again "See you later, we love you to."
