Etelvina went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She is now with loved ones in heaven free from suffering and ailments.

Etelvina was born and raised in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. As a young adult she graduated from school and begin working at Chevrolet. She later came to the United States to be with her husband of 34 years, Bernardo Gonzalez. She had three children, Bernardo Gonzalez Jr., Etelvina Gonzalez (Carrillo), Daniela Gonzalez and also gained a son-in-law, Evan Carrillo. She has left behind four grandchildren, Jordan Gonzalez (13), Aaron Carrillo (10), Andrew Gonzalez (5) and Ezra Carrillo (1).

Etelvina enjoyed life when she was not sick by visiting with family in Douglas, AZ and would go back to Mexico to attend weddings, dances, and parties with her loved ones. She also enjoyed her summers with family in Rocky Point, Mexico lounging on the beach and being in the water. Etelvina was a very good cook and would host parties when her children were younger and would do all the cooking herself. Despite being tired the last year of her life she continued to make Tamales for the holidays for her family and friends with some help. She is described as a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and a perfectionist. We as her Family will miss her terribly but are glad she is with loved ones in heaven and we thank her for being our mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend.
