Esteban Torres Vega was born on March 20, 1947 in Tucson, AZ on February 27,2025 he was called to the Lord at age 77, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication and love. A man of unwavering commitment he proudly served his country as a member of the Army in the Vietnam war. His experiences shaped his life instilling in him a profound sense of duty and honor. He continued in his community retiring from the City of Tucson. He loved to cruise, participating and showcasing his beloved cars, he was an avid Tejano music fan and loved sharing his music with others. He was dedicated, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Esteban is preceded in death by his parents Esteban and Josephine T. Vega, Aunt Petra L. Torres, sister Josie Tadeo, brothers Frank, Robert, and David Vega, grandson Manuel Aguilar Vega as well as his beloved wife Dolores "Dodie" Vega. Despite these great losses Esteban's spirit remained strong and steadfast.

He is survived by his wife Bertha "Bertie" Vega who stood by his side through life's many chapters. Esteban's legacy lives on through his children: Esteban (Andrea), Paul, Celina, and Raul (Vero) Vega. He is also survived by his siblings: Peter (Martha), Mary Otero, Cecilia Wood and Olga (Danny) Anchondo. He also was loved by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren they all shared many memories filled with love throughout his life.

Though he has departed from our lives the memories will remain in our hearts, inspiring us with his strength, kindness and his commitment to family. Let us not remember him with sorrow but with the warmth of all he has given to those who were fortunate to have known him.
