Obituary

Our beloved Ernie (son, brother, Tio, and friend) passed away on November 11, 2022.  Ernie was born on June 11, 1960 in Cloves New Mexico to Ernesto Sr and Angie Luna.   He is survived by his mother, brother Joe Luna, and sisters Teri Anderson and Sandy Ortega.  Ernie lived a full life with several passions.

Anyone who knew Ernie, knew of his love for music.   He played several instruments favorites being the saxophone and bass saxophone.   Tower of Power and Santana were always playing at home or in his car at a volume too loud for the normal person.  To this day, his siblings are well versed with the music and lyrics of these two groups and who have passed it on to their own children.

Ernie was Mister Baseball playing throughout high school and well into adulthood.   He shared his passion and knowledge of the sport to many future baseball and softball players as a wonderful coach.   Coaching his nephews as well.

His huge heart, robust laugh, and his long-life friends could fill a room.   His absence will leave a hole in our hearts which will be hard if not impossible to fill.   However, his legacy of bear hugs, love, and laughter will forever be with us.
