IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ernesto Delgado
Garcia, Jr
March 24, 1935 – August 24, 2022
It saddens us, and it is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Ernesto D. Garcia, Jr. of Tucson Arizona. Ernie, born on March 24, 1935 in El Paso Texas, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2022 while at home surrounded by his loving wife and caring family.
What an honor, but where to begin, to say goodbye to such a distinguished and amazing man who accomplished so much and loved and helped so many throughout his long and remarkable life. He was married to Evelyn, the love of his life, for 67 years. He had four children, the oldest, Sheron (4 children with 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren); Pamela married to Richard Trevino (3 children with 6 grandchildren); his only son David married to Oleta (4 children with 13 grandchildren and another on the way); and the youngest, Ernestine married to Patrick Rodriguez (2 children with one granddaughter). He is survived by his siblings, James (Jimmy) and Grace. He was devoted to his wife, family and friends, as well as God, his Parish and the Knights of Columbus.
During his 44-year career, he spent 21 years in the United States Air Force on Active Duty where he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant and 23 years of Civil Service. His work gave him many incredible opportunities to take his family to different parts of the country and abroad where he made lifelong friends and memories he loved to share. He was committed to showing all of his children and all of the grandchildren the importance of hard work, family and always keeping your word. We learned so much from him about cars, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and his greatest joy of woodworking.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Thank you to all of the family and friends for being there for him. Love to ALL forever. …and in his words 'Domo arigato.'
