Obituary

Ernesto "Guero" Bañuelos of Tucson passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 at the age of 86, with his children at his side. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years; Mary O. Bañuelos , his parents; Rosendo Bañuelos Castañeda and Ernestina Celaya Bustamante and his siblings; Adelaida, Aurelio and Raul Bañuelos Celaya.

He was born on June 10, 1936, in Pitiquito, Sonora Mexico. He eventually made his way to Tucson where he began work in agriculture. He worked for FICO in the pecan groves of green valley – Sahuarita for many years until his retirement.

Survived by his children; Ernie Bañuelos (Bebe), Esther "Güera" Tovar (Jesus) and Eddie Bañuelos (Monica). He is also survived by his sisters; Esthela Mendez Celaya and Marcela Bañuelos Celaya.

He was a loving and cherished Tata to nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren who were his greatest joy and who he loved to spend time with.
