Edmundo died suddenly on October 11, 2015. Treasured by family and friends for a kind heart and enthusiastic interest in others, Edmundo kept contact with his many friends and large extended family, all of whom admired him for his generosity, openness, and eagerness to help others. He avidly followed national baseball and UofA football. Edmundo was born and raised in Tucson. After graduating from Tucson High School he enlisted in the Navy and served on the USS Ranger and was stationed at Da Nang, Vietnam. Returning to Tucson, he worked for many years for the U.S. Postal Service, until retirement. He leaves behind his sisters, Gloria Solis of Tucson and Silvia Strumwasser of Malibu, California Nephews, Michael Solis, Carlos Solis, and Aaron Strumwasser, and niece Lisa (Ian) Hunter.
