Obituary

Delbert Armando Ballesteros born January 4, 1966 at TMC in Tucson, Arizona to his beloved mother, Sylvia A. Romero who brought him into this world and met him in Heaven on the day he passed on October 3, 2025.

Delbert is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Julia Munoz Arvizu. He is survived by his beloved father, David Valles Ballesteros who taught him to be a cowboy. He loved "to rope and ride". His loving stepfather, Vicente B. Romero who was his baseball coach, friend and mentor since he was 7 years old.

Delbert was a loving father to his children, Alexis Marie Ballesteros and Delbert Michael (Tracy) Ballesteros. Delbert's pride were his nine grandchildren who lovingly called him "Tata".

Delbert is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his best friend and big brother, David Jesus Ballesteros (Amanda); his sister, Doreen Juliet Ballesteros Robins who was by his side in his 38-day fight at Banner University Medical Center.

"To have one more bar-b-q, one more pizza with my family and friends." Delbert gave all he had 100% till his last breath. Delbert worked at El Rio Golf Course with his favorite baby brother, Vicente Alfredo Romero and many dear co-workers. Delbert worked for Northern Pipeline as a supervisor for 15 years and at Ortiz Certified Flooring and Covering Installation, which is owned by his beloved cousins, Steve & Roseanne Ortiz. They lovingly referred to each other as "Baby Doll". Delbert worked with their sons, Nicholas Perez, Steven, Frank "King Arthur", Gavin and Adam "Dome" Ortiz. They were like sons to him.

Delbert is survived by many lifelong friends they referred to each other as brothers. They called him "Mex"

Delbert lived all his life in Tucson, Arizona and attended Helen Keeling Elementary, Amphi Jr. High and Amphi High School, class of 1984. Delbert was the hardest worker, loyal brother, son and friend. He was a Christian man believing and accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and accepted eternal life with God in Heaven.

Delbert will be laid to rest on October 17, 2025 at Holy Hope Cemetery next to his paternal grandparents, Jorge and Esperanza Ballesteros.

Until we see you again. You will be in our thoughts and in our hearts. We love you Del.
