Cynthia "Cindy" Ramirez
Cynthia "Cindy" Ramirez, age 64, was called to Heaven on March 30th, 2025. Cynthia was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Nana and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Born on July 6th, 1960, in Tucson, Arizona, to parents Miguel and Nellie Abeyta, Cynthia grew up the only daughter alongside her brothers Mark and Michael. She often spoke fondly of her childhood traveling and living in various states and Germany as her Father served in the United States Air Force. Cynthia loved to cook, watch the Food Network, go shoe shopping, draw, dance and spend time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
Cynthia worked at Raytheon Missile Systems for 15 years when eventually she had a dream opportunity presented to her to work at the University of Arizona. Cynthia worked at the University of Arizona beginning in 2013 and positions ranged from Administrative Associate in the Executive Office of the President, Government & Community Relations Office Support and Executive Associate with the RII Research Development Services Office. Cynthia had recently joined the Steward Observatory to support Astrobiology & Space Science Research projects. While employed at the University, Cynthia also decided to focus on continuing her own educational goals in which Cynthia graduated from the University of Arizona earning her degree in Business, Economy & Industry in May of 2020. Cynthia was truly a proud Wildcat.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 46 years, Carlos, her brother Mark, her children; Angela, Carlos Jr., Son-in-law Anthony and Daughter-in-law Karina along with her five grandchildren; Anthony, Austin, Adam, Aurora and Andy. Cynthia is preceded by her parents Miguel & Nellie Abeyta, her brother Michael and her Mother & Father-in-law Josephine & Arturo Ramirez.
Viewing and Rosary will be held at Carrillo's Mortuary on Friday, April 11th beginning at 8am with the Rosary beginning at 9am.
Mass for Cynthia will follow and be held at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave., Tucson AZ beginning at 10am. Interment will follow mass at 11:30am at Holy Hope Cemetary at 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson AZ.
