With heavy hearts we announce that Our dear mother passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by loved ones early morning on Saturday November 26th 2022. She was 76 years old.

She is survived by her 5 children Joaquin Carrillo, Maria Montijo(Jose), Juanito Carrillo(Becky), Monica Robles (Luis), & Veronica Soto Lopez (Hugo).

She had 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, Grandmother, great grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, cousin, & friend.

She was the strongest person we knew; the rock of the family. she raised her 5 children on her own as a single mother & never remarried. As a young women she loved to dance & hear music. She enjoyed to cook. The holidays were her favorite & she never skipped a year making her delicious tamales. Making her addicting tortillas from scratch was something she always did around the family, you could never have just one. She taught us many Mexican family traditions. In recent years going to the casino was a fun hobby she enjoyed very much.

For 12 years she had to going through many challenges while on dialysis plus beating covid in the hospital a few times. A fighter she was till the very end until she made the ultimate decision and said in her own words that she was tired and ready..

Thank you mom/nana for putting up such a fight to be with us as long as possible we admire your strength & thank you for all the beautiful memories. We will cherish them forever in our hearts. You will be greatly missed. May you rest eternally in peace. We love you so much.
