IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clyde R.
Melton
October 6, 1958 – February 17, 2025
Clyde R. Melton
10/6/1958-02/17/2025
Clyde "Chacho" Melton (66), passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Clyde's warmth, wisdom, and humor touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Julianna Mills Melton; his children: Clyde (Katrina), Bryan (Alexandra), and Aaron (Elizabeth) Melton. Clyde was a proud and loving grandfather to Hannah, Bryan Evan, Brandon, Brielle, Ethan, Maya, and Aubrey Melton, all from Tucson, Arizona, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Frances Mills and was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Juan "Willie" Mills, his parents Clyde Lee and Helen Melton. His family was his greatest treasure and he leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.
Clyde was an avid outdoorsman, who found peace and adventure in fishing, hunting, and camping. He treasured these times, creating lasting memories with family and friends. He especially loved passing down his passion for the outdoors to his children, teaching them sportsmanship, respect for nature, and the value of time well spent together.
After more than 38 years of dedicated service, Clyde retired as a butcher from Fry's Food & Drug store, where he was affectionally known as "Rooster." His hard work, good-natured spirit, and unmistakable presence made him a favorite among coworkers and customers alike.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Carrillo's Mortuary, located at 204 S. Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85711. A funeral mass will follow: Thursday February 27, 2025 at 10:00am, at St. Augustine Cathedral. A celebration of life reception to follow after the services on Thursday, at a location to be determined and announced at a later date.
Clyde's kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but never be forgotten.
