IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Mills
Granillo
January 7, 1944 – January 26, 2024
Betty Mills Granillo, age 80, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 26, 2024. Born on January 7, 1944, in Tucson, Arizona, she leaves behind a legacy marked by love and cherished memories.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved late husband, Tony Granillo, her parents Ramon and Alice M. Mills, her brothers Sambo and Willie Mills, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Granillo and Michael Martinez.
Left to honor her vibrant spirit are her devoted sisters, Joann Mills and Nadine Miranda, and her cherished brother, Frank Mills. Betty's children, Anthony M. Granillo, Mary Alice Salcido (along with her husband, Carlos), Arnold M. Granillo, Clarence M. Granillo, Sammy Granillo (along with his wife Sylvia), will continue to carry her legacy in their hearts.
Betty's grandchildren, Thalia, Raul, Mario Alvarado, and Stephany, as well as Adrian, Ashley, and Peter Granillo, Jessica Martinez, Crystal Yanez, and Sammy Joe Granillo Jr., were all blessed to have known Betty's unwavering love. The countless great-grandchildren, beloved nieces, and nephews were also deeply touched by her presence in their lives.
A woman of strength and unwavering independence, Betty's hands were rarely still. Her heart overflowed with a servant's devotion, as she dedicated many years to caregiving. She delighted in ensuring the comfort of those around her. Betty's true joy was found in showering her grandchildren with affection and adorning them with gifts that mirrored her boundless love.
Betty delighted in sharing her passion for food with loved ones, especially when treating them to Olive Garden and Red Lobster. One of her favorite meals was chili con carne with rice and beans, a comfort food that brought warmth to the hearts of those lucky enough to savor it. Gathering with family and friends to make tamales and crafting fresh tortillas on a wood stove brought her immense joy.
An avid lover of the great outdoors, Betty reveled in the wonders of camping, fishing, hunting, and the unparalleled joy of watching her great-granddaughter, Nevaeh, grace the soccer field with her radiant spirit.
She was a seasoned traveler who delighted in collecting treasures from around the world. Her collection of porcelain dolls, angelic relics, and signature Betty Boop memorabilia held a special place in her heart, reflecting the vibrant and lively essence that Betty brought to every aspect of her life.
Betty's departure leaves a void that will never be filled. Her love, warmth, and kindness have forever imprinted upon the lives she touched. Though saddened by her passing, we find solace in knowing that she has transcended this world, leaving behind a rich tapestry of love and cherished memories. She will forever be missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
May she find eternal peace, embraced by the love that she shared so generously throughout her lifetime.
