Obituary

Bertha L. Sierra at the age of 89 gained her golden wings in the late hours on December 25, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones and rejoicing Christ's birth.

Born on June 6, 1936 in Hachita, NM. She was a beloved Sister, Wife, Mother, Nana, Great Nana, Great Great Nana and Nina. She is the eldest Daughter of 13 children to parents, Monico and Amparo Lomeli of Douglas, AZ.

Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Francisco V. Sierra; Daughter-in-law, Blanca D. Sierra; Son-in-law, Marty A. Montaño; Grandchildren, Johanna, Julissa and Kassandra; Brothers, Chalano, Kati, Sixto, Poloni, Dimas and Toli and sisters, Olivia and Maria Paulina. They grew a large family of 9 children, Monica (Joe), Javier (Vivian), Margaret (Tony), Rosalinda (Carlos), Crystal (Rene), Ronnie, Frankie (Margaret), Debbie, and Celeste (Albert). Survived by Brothers, Francisco, Bonifacio, Albert; Sisters; Juana, Rosario and families.

Bertha was the surrogate mother to many family members a beacon of compassion, empathy and a forgiving heart.

Though many chronic illnesses she found the strength to find joy in everyday and everyone she encountered. She was an avid prayer of the Rosary 3x a day. Her spirit and unconditional love will forever remain a vibrant part of her family especially Aubrey whom brought her extreme happiness. She will be greatly missed by many loved ones.
