Obituary

Bertha was born on March 27, 1942, in Nogales, Arizona, to Michael and Fidelina Bravo, but always considered Tucson her home, where she spent the majority of her life.

A beautiful and generous soul to all she knew, Bertha (Nina Dodo as her nieces and nephews affectionately called her) was a mother and friend to everyone she knew as well as a source of unconditional love and acceptance. As the matriarch of our family, she was an incomparable font of wisdom and guidance and provided a listening ear to anyone who needed it. A devout Catholic, she lived her faith and prayed constantly for those she loved.

Her early entry into a career as a floral designer led her to a lifelong love of flowers. Not only did she enjoy arranging flowers for every occasion, but she kept a garden all around her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Fidelina Bravo, her sister Olga Valenzuela, and her brother David Bravo.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years Robert, her daughter Gabrielle, her sisters Gloria Bryant, Leilani Gomez (Nick), and Sylvia Heredia (Fortino), her brother Roman Miranda (Yesenia), and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
