Obituary
On January 11, 2024, Bertha Martinez Diaz, age 74 passed, away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Bertha married her Junior High sweetheart, Richard F. Diaz, on August 3, 1968, in Tucson, Arizona. They had 3 children, Lorraine A. Dorame, Sandra D. Valencia, and Richard F. Diaz, Jr (Erin).
She was a wonderful Nana to 7 grandchildren, Bernadette N. Tellez (Cristian), Alonso V. Dorame, Jr, Denise A. Valencia, Mariana R-M Dorame, Richard W. Diaz, Alycia A. Valencia, and Savannah R.M. Diaz, and a great-grandmother to Ruben A. Dorame, Mireya A. Tellez, Ximena M. Tellez, and Amais R. Speed.
Bertha is survived by her siblings, Christina Monno (Mario), Ramona "Moni" Gutierrez, Theodore "Teddy" Martinez (Rachel), and Lydia Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita A. Martinez, her sister, Celia Acosta and brother-in law, Daniel Acosta, Sr., her twin brother, Albert "Cuate" Martinez, brother-in-law, Robert Gutierrez, Sr, brother-in-law, John Lopez, and nephew, Robert Gutierrez, Jr.
