Obituary

An extra-ordinary man, loved by all who knew him. Born in Tucson on Dec. 30, 1924 to Mariano and Laura Ramirez, was gently taken by Angels to heaven on Jan. 4, 2015. He was so proud to have served in the Army during WWII in the Southern Pacific. Bert was a respected member of American Legion Post 59 Cocio-Estrada, retired from TEP after 32 loyal years and member of the Retirees Club, President of Cathedral's St. Vincent de Paul Society for over 30 years. Bert is proceded in death by his sister, Nellie, and is survived by his wife. Josie, of 65 years, the love of his life Children, Yvonne, David (Becky), Eric (Elaine) Grandchildren, Kenneth, Aaron, Valerie, Matthew, Eric, Toni, and Hannah Jo Great grandson, Cameron. Also sister, Mary Redick brother-in-law, Gilbert Castro nieces, Laura Urias, Cynthia Johnson and Cari Gibson, their families and many cousins. Bert was a gem among men, an excellent husband, father, role model, an inspiration, a true participant of life and living, believed in family and vacations, honorable, unselfish beyond measure with his time, caring and talents. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
