With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce that Bernice Irene Ormsby was promoted to glory on May 29, 2025, at the age of 81. A devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, Bernice was born on October 17, 1943, in Tucson, Arizona, to Albert Ormsby and Demesia Elias Ormsby.

She was one of five children and is lovingly remembered by her brother Eugene Ormsby and sister Cecilia Ormsby. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Conrad Ormsby, and her sister Mary Louise Barreras.

Bernice lived her entire life in Tucson, where she became a pillar of strength, kindness, and unwavering faith. A lifelong follower of God, she devoted her heart to prayer and her life to ministry through example. Bernice was known for praying over loved ones and leading many to Jesus with her love, guidance, and gentle spirit. Her faith was her foundation, and her greatest joy was helping others find hope and peace through God.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Clarissa Canez; her three treasured grandchildren, Arthur, Olivia, and Stephanie; and her four cherished great-grandchildren, Aiden, Bella, Camila, and Jalen. Her family finds peace knowing she is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Bernice's legacy of love, prayer, and faith will live on in every life she touched. Her memory will be forever treasured by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
