Obituary

Beloved husband and father, leaves behind his wife of over 50 years, Maria Jesus; his children, Ben (Army), Ofelia Arvizu (Jesus - deceased), Armando, Daniel (deceased), Cecilia (Chris), Elda Zazueta (Jorge - deceased), Teresa Rivas-Rascon (Daniel), Benito Lizardi, 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

He was the Founder and President for El Rio Mens Golf Club. A World War II Veteran Served 28 years, which included United States Air Corp, Army, Army Reserve and is one of the original Officers of the first AZ Air National Guard, 161st Fighter-Inceptor Group, in 1957. He assisted in developing and launching the original Automotive Mechanics program at Pima Community College. He owned and operated his own Automotive Repair Shop on South Sixth Avenue, in the heart of downtown Tucson.
The Lizardi family is one of the original pioneering families of Tucson.

He is survived by sisters, Socorro Caviglia, Isabel Ezrre, Estela Ayon and brothers, Jesus and Ernie. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Mercy, Olga, and brother, Hector.
