IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Belia Cázares
Félix
August 31, 1931 – September 21, 2023
Belia Cázares Félix peacefully joined our Lord on September 21st, 2023, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her beloved family.
Born on August 31, 1931, in Buena Vista, Sonora, Mexico, she spent her early years in Cananea, Sonora, alongside her adoring parents, Antonio and Guadalupe Cázares, and her five siblings.
It was at a New Year's Eve dance in Cananea, that she first crossed paths with Jesus Félix, the man who would soon become her husband. On September 11, 1949, they exchanged vows, embarking on a lifelong journey together. In 1958, they relocated to Tucson, AZ, where they raised their family.
"Nana Belia," as she was affectionately known, poured her entire heart into her family. Her affection often found expression in the kitchen, a sanctuary where a warm cup of coffee, a sweet pastry, or a delicious meal awaited all who entered. She embodied love, patience, kindness, grace, and elegance, ensuring everyone knew how cherished they were by her. Nana Belia lovingly referred to the girls in her family as "Mi Reina" and the men as "Mi Rey."
The Felix family was blessed to have shared 92 years with the matriarch and witnessed a loving marriage that spanned 74 years. Her strength, devotion, and love have set an example for her family to carry forward. Her memory will be eternally treasured. Rest in peace, Nana.
Belia is survived by her devoted husband, Jesus Félix, and their four children: Jesus (Deborah), Jose (Marisela), Ricardo (Luis), and Belia (Sanjay). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with her brother, Ernesto Cázares, and her sister, Maria Antonieta Félix (Eduardo).
The Félix family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional and loving care provided by her dedicated team of caregivers, with a special appreciation for Yvette Vega.
