Barbara A. (Gibson) Schrantz passed away peacefully at home in Tucson, AZ on May 18, 2024, at the age of 93. Born in New Castle, PA on August 15, 1930, the oldest child and only daughter of Arthur and Martha (Morris) Gibson. She married Thomas F. Schrantz in 1952 and supported him in his military career that took them and their 7 children to many states including South Dakota, Ohio, North Carolina, and Michigan, before retiring from the service to Grove City, PA.  In Grove City Barbara worked for 20 years at George Jr Republic.

Barbara is survived by her children Thomas, Pamela, Douglas (Jeanne), Gregory, Jeff (Tanya), and Timothy (Carol). She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Marilyn, as well as 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years Thomas, their son Mark and her 3 brothers.  Barbara enjoyed playing Scrabble, the piano and celebrating holidays with her family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary, 204 S. Stone Ave, Tucson, in the Center Chapel, from 12:00-3:00pm with a service commencing at 1:30pm. Internment will be in Grove City, PA.
