Art "Toky" Barrio Sr., 69, of Tucson, AZ. departed this life on May 6, 2026

Although Art called Tucson home, he often shared many memories growing up with friends and family in his hometown Lordsburg, NM. Among many things, Art will be remembered for being passionate about the ones he loved and cared for, proudly sharing an unbreakable bond with his soul dog Angel, thoughtfully creating poetry, listening to oldies, and watching boxing. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will now be able to reunite with his wife and son.

Preceded in death by his wife Carmen Barrio; son Art "Chiquillo" Barrio Jr.; father Roberto Barrio; mother Paula Barrio

Survived by his daughter Monica Barrio (Erina Mortimer); grandsons Gabriel (Ariza), Noah; granddaughter Jayla; great grandsons Andres, Ismael, Jeremiah, Lucas; brothers Johnny Mesa, Freddy Barrio and many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Rest easy and peacefully Dad. Until we meet again.
