Our beloved father, Armando L. Garcia was born on May 12, 1948, in Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico, and passed away on April 29, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. He moved to Tucson as a young child and grew up with his parents and 11 siblings. After graduating from Catalina high school in 1968, he joined the United States Air Force where he courageously worked as a firefighter and crash & rescue specialist, also serving in Vietnam. He proudly wore his Vietnam Veterans hat just about everywhere he went. He was hard working and still found joy in the simple pleasures of life: fishing, visiting casinos, dancing, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. His warmth and laughter were the heart of every gathering.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Felicitas Garcia; his father, Cuauhtémoc Garcia; sisters, Blanca Brown and Guadalupe Styles; brother, Steven Garcia; and his stepson, Gildero Carranza. He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda; daughters, Michelle Cox (Thomas), Melanie Martinez (Andy), Melissa Chatham (Jason), and Melinda Lopez (Rene); stepchildren, Jaqueline Carranza (Ramon Barajas), Jose Angel Carranza (Dulce Gonzalez), 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Antonio Garcia, Beatrice Kaul, Maria Warwick, Cuauhtémoc Jr. Garcia, Margarita Garcia, Alicia McNeil (Dean), Gloria Zabaleta, and Manuela Condito (Tony).
