Antonio "Tony" Luis Moreno

Eulogy

" I'd like to begin by thanking everyone for coming to honor Tony's life today. Tony was the most charismatic person and we know so many of you would agree. His personality was unrivaled and his smile lit up every room. He was beautiful and loving and had one of the sweetest hearts any of us have known. His laugh was contagious and so was his joy.

Antonio Luis Moreno was born on January 25th, 1996 in Tucson, Az. He was the last born child of Carlos and Michelle Moreno. He has an older sister, Kaley; an older brother, Cordero; and a younger, half sister, Alhana. He was also father to two beautiful girls, Kyah and Cataleya. From the moment Tony could crawl he was "go, go, go". He was brave and any physical activity came easy to him. As happy and joyful as Tony seemed to be, he was a mischievous one. He was rowdy and oftentimes a little troublemaker. He was eager to grow up and that he did.

In Tony's earlier years he played football and enjoyed bicycle motocross. He also had a deep love for animals and had multiple pets. Music was a passion of his and he didn't discriminate against any genre. He loved to be around people and had no lack of friendship. As a child, he wanted to be a professional football player. As he grew up, like his father, Tony then aspired to be an automotive technician. He had already been training to learn the trade and was naturally great at what he did. He loved to help his grandfather, Dusty, fix cars, build things and tinker around the house. He never left his grandmother Pat without a hug, a kids and an I love you. One of his favorite things to do, as well as a favorite of his mother's, was to wake up on the weekends and cook his mama bacon. He also loved to spend time with his mother, siblings and friends around a fire down at the horse corrals at his grandparent's house. They'd listen to music and talk about life for hours. As children, he would always follow his older brother, Cordy, around like a shadow.. Wanting to be just like his big "brubby". His big "sissy", Kaley, loved to watch him spend time with his nieces and nephews playing silly games and having sleepovers, times they'll never forget. Above all else, Tony loved his little girls. Although his time with Kyah and Cataleya was cut far too short, he can now watch over them, protect them, and guide them as he truly wished he could here on earth.

It saddens us all that his life ended while so young at only 25 years old. Tony's life was not without difficulty or challenges. In his struggles, the choices he made came with their own consequences. Ultimately, life's challenges, along with those choices, claimed the future we all had dreamed of for him. The world is already a dimmer place without Tony in our lives but he touched each and everyone of us and has left us with memories we will cherish for eternity.

A poem chosen by his mother:

In Loving Memory of My Son

Of all the special gifts in life

However great or small.

To have you as my son

Was the greatest gift of all.

A special time,

A special face,

A special son,

I can't replace.

With aching heart, I whisper low,

I miss you son, and love you so.

As we mourn Tony today, we take comfort in knowing that the sweet little boy, that we all remember and loved so deeply, will no longer suffer in his earthly pain and that he has finally found his peace. "
