Antoinette M.
Romo
March 26, 1936 – January 1, 2026
Antoinette Romo, a lifelong and beloved resident of Tucson, Arizona, entered into eternal rest on January 1, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was 89 years old.
Antoinette was born in Tucson on March 26, 1936, to Jesus and Teresa Romo. A proud graduate of Tucson High School, she remained a true daughter of the desert for nearly nine decades. Antoinette dedicated many years of her life to public service, working for and eventually retiring from the Prosecutor's Office in Tucson.
A woman of deep and lasting faith, Antoinette became a Catholic at a young age, and her devotion stayed with her throughout her life. She was known for her vibrant spirit and her love for the excitement of the casino, where she enjoyed the energy and the company of friends. She also had a deep love for animals and leaves behind her two cherished dogs, Felony and Charlie.
Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Teresa; the father of her son, Narciso Junior Hernandez (d. 2019); her sisters, Betty and Mary; her brother, Joe; and her nephew, Ronald.
Antoinette is survived by her beloved son, Joseph Hernandez, and her daughter-in-law, Tamoka McGee; her sister, Molly Antonioli; her six grandchildren, Bethany, Caitlin, Andrew, Chris, Jaylon, and Jayniyah; and her great-grandson, Nathaniel. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Cynthia, Kathy, Rick, David, Mack, and Suzanne, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
