Anita G. Castro a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home. She received her Angel Wings on December 21st, 2025 at the age 99. Anita was born November 23rd, 1926. She was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Anita graduated from Tucson High School.      Anita is survived by her daughter's Irene Malone (Frank), Joanne Castro (Jose). She also is survived by all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. All her grandchildren will carry on her legacy forward. Additionally she is remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and friends who were touched by her kindness and spirit.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband Ernest R. Castro, daughter Lydia C. Llamas, parents Cruz and Marianna Galvan, her siblings Manuel, Lupe, Cruzita, Frank, Antonio, Mercy, Luis and Oscar and Great Granddaughter Celina Costa.

Anita with her humble approach to life inspired those around her, and she was a source of strength for many. Anita lived a beautiful life.

Services will be held as follows on January 6th,

Visitation will be at 8am - 10:30am at Carrillo Mortuary,  204 S. Stone Ave., Tucson, Arizona 85701 (Rosary at 9:30am)

Mass will be at 11am, held at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 South 6th Avenue,  Tucson, Arizona 85713

Interment at 12:30pm will be at Holy Hope Cemetery,  3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson,  Arizona 85705
