Angie
Luna
March 23, 1938 – November 6, 2025
Angelina Luna, known by her loved ones and friends as Angie, passed away peacefully at home on November 6th, 2025, at the age of 87. Angie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernie Luna Sr., and her son, Ernie Jr. and now is celebrating her reunion with them, her parents Jose and Candelaria Gonzalez, her sisters Margaret Mercado, Terry Martinez and brother Manuel Gonzalez.
She is survived by her brothers Frank and Joe Gonzalez. Son, Joe Luna and wife Anna, son Jake Luna and Fiancé Monique Perez and daughter Jordyn Luna. Eldest daughter Teri and husband Kent Anderson , son Joshua Anderson and wife Katie and daughter Rebecca Anderson and Fiancé John Brendt. Youngest Daughter Sandy and husband Paul Ortega , sons PJ and wife Monique and Patrick Ortega. She was blessed with 5 great granddaughters Oakley, Sophie, Brayley, Laila, and Allie.
Born and raised in Elgin, Texas, Angie met her love of her life, Ernie, at a local dance. After a 3-month romance, they were engaged, married, and celebrated almost 50 years of marriage. They started in Clovis, New Mexico where Ernie Sr. was stationed with the U.S. Air Force then moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1961.
At White Elementary School, Angie served and retired as a nurse's aide remembered by countless students as Mrs. Luna. She was a devoted Christian and cherished Jesus praying the rosary daily and often volunteering at her church, Lady of Fatima.
Her family was her life. She was a wonderful wife, mom, coach, short order cook, taxi shuttle (taking her kids to and from varying sports events/practices), babysitter and whatever else her children and grandchildren needed. Always full of energy and no task too big for her. She moved so fast that her kids often joked "Mom has ants in her pants".
In her final weeks she was surrounded by family, caretakers, and countless friends spanning over sixty years.
Mom, we will deeply miss you and we love you mucho, mucho, mucho!
Your loving family
