Obituary

Mother, Grandmother and wife, Angelita (Angie) H. Flores born December 7, 1938, was called home to take her place amongst the stars in Heaven in the early morning of July 25 th , 2020.

Born in Barrio Anita and raised in Tucson, she was one of eight children; five brothers and two sisters.

The first part of this was easy. But, at this point, the following is by far the hardest thing we have had to write. Not because there isn't anything to write, but there is far too much to cover in her life.

Mom led an extraordinary life. She may not have been a celebrity or public figure, but in her own unique way, she was greater than anyone in the public eye. There was something different about Mom. She was bold, independent, determined, funny, patient, kind, compassionate and full of life and love.

You may have passed her on the street or in a store and never bat an eye. But, if you knew her, she would change your life.

Each of her children have so many memories and stories of her that it would be impossible to put them down in print. Yet, as I have mentioned, if you knew her, you too, would have many memories and stories of your own to share.

She loved children so much that she worked throughout her career with TUSD working with those that had special needs. She never wavered in her love for them, often treating each as if they were her own. Visiting her as she worked, you'd see how they would gravitate towards her, always seeking her undivided attention, always holding her hands or touching her.

I mention this because this is how many saw her. A light that you wanted to have in your life.

Mom was special. She was unique and there are few that come into our lives that are like her.

She is our Mom. We were blessed beyond measure, and still are, to be her children. Her legacy is one that we each wish to continue and share with others.

Not only did we, as her children see her this way, but everyone else who she touched does as well. We all saw her this way and still do though she was called from this life to begin a new one in Heaven.

We miss you Mom. We love you and you will always be with us in our hearts and in our souls.

There will come a day when we will see you again and our souls will be full once more.

Angie is survived by her two sons, Eddie (Artemiza) and Michael (Angela); daughter, Priscilla (Jesse); grandchildren, Michaela, Anisa, Brisa, David; great-granddaughter, Riley, and five brothers, Tommy, Danny, Roy, Gilbert and Frankie.

We invite you to come to a prayer service in her honor, at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary located at 204 S. Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ. 85701 on Saturday, August 22, 2020, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Rosary will begin at 12:30 pm. Should you wish to attend, we respectfully ask that you wear a mask and practice social distancing as best as possible while attending.  Thank you.
