IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angelina Trejo
Castillo
January 14, 1945 – December 13, 2023
It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness to announce the passing of Angelina (Angie) Trejo Castillo, 78, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and a friend to many. Angie peacefully passed in the presence of her family on December 13, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jose (Carlos) Castillo; Mother, Carmen S. Trejo; Father, Isaac D. Trejo; brothers, and sisters.
Angie was born at home in Barrio Viejo, raised and lived her whole life in Tucson. She was the baby of the Trejo family, her young, widowed mother Carmen would raise her and her six older brothers and sisters. Angie attended Carrillo Elementary, Safford Middle and Tucson High Schools. She always had the best memories of her growing up in the Barrio. Her strong loving mother taught her the importance of family, faith, and keeping traditions. Angie met the love of her life, Carlos at the age of 13, teenage sweethearts. She was heartbroken when he passed away in March of this year. She is survived by sister, Esther Duran; her three daughters, Eliza T. Castillo (Raymond Pacheco), Carmen R. Castillo-Robles (Robert) and Teresa C. Garcia (Fernando); 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Angie was an extraordinary woman of strength and devotion to her family full of love and laughter, a hard-working lady. She welcomed anyone and everyone to her home, always happy to sit, listen and give the best advice to family, extended family, and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so very special to her, no other nana like Nana Angie. She had a love for taking care of her home, gardening, crafting, sewing, and a knack for fixing anything.
Losing you mom is the deepest sorrow our hearts will know. Your goodness, caring and wisdom will live on, a legacy of love that will be with us always. Those we love don't go away…. they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near…. still loved, still missed and very dear. Mom you are forever in our Hearts.
In memory of Angie, her family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association - Alzheimer's Association | Donate to Fight Alzheimer's Disease
