Obituary

You gave me life
To live as I please,
You gave me love and
Support to follow my dreams.
Your beauty lives
Forever deep in my soul,
The memory of your love
Fills my heart
And I am never alone.

In Remembrance , by Christine Currah

Our beloved mother, Amanda Olivares, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was born on June 4, 1935 in San Pedro de la Cueva, Sonora, Mexico.  She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.  Our loving mother ensured we were well fed and well-dressed before going out into the world.  She went above and beyond to provide a nurturing environment where we all felt safe and loved.  Though she was a devout Catholic, she accepted our different beliefs with a smile.  She is survived by her children, Lupe (Greg), Jesus (Luisa), David (Anna), Ana (Bob), Diana (Sonia), Ruben (Justina); grandchildren, Emiliano, Ana Kiseki, Diana Kirei, Alejandrina, Natalee, Elias, Arthur, Carlos, Marlayna, Anthony, Mari; and great-grandchildren, Amillia and Diego.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonio.  Friends wishing to honor Amanda are invited to make a donation in her name to their local food banks.
